Introducing CAPS at MSU Coming Fall 2017
April 7, 2017
In need of services?
MSU students should begin their access to mental health care at the MSU Counseling Center, located in the Student Services building across from the Broad Museum at the corner of E Circle Drive and Collingwood. Walk-in hours and crisis visits are available Monday-Friday.
CAPS = Counseling & Psychiatry Services
In May 2016, the President of MSU issued a mandate to develop and implement a new model of delivery and continuum of care in the University’s counseling and psychiatric services for students that will integrate the services currently offered by Psychiatry Services in Student Health Services and the Counseling Center. Work groups are being formed now to address the various aspects of the integration of services. Additional information about the status of CAPS and the continuum of Student Health and Wellness Services can be found in the March 1, 2017, Status Report.
